The company ran a complex cross-border trade operation on disconnected spreadsheets:
Manual quotation
Every quote was calculated by hand in intricate Excel sheets—CIF-to-DAP pricing, exchange rates, import duties, and freight—slow and error-prone.
Disconnected data
Quotations, sales orders, inventory, and shipments lived in separate files, with no link from a quote to the actual delivery.
No margin visibility
Quoted costs were never reconciled against real delivery costs, so true margin per order and per shipment was invisible.
I designed and built a centralized Airtable ERP, delivered in agile weekly sprints:
Connected base
One Airtable base linking quotation, sales orders, purchasing, inventory, and shipments end to end.
Automated quotation engine
A CIF-to-DAP cost chain (exchange rates, import duties, freight, insurance) computes quotes automatically.
EU order tracking & inventory
Multi-delivery order tracking with real-time inventory across Chinese and European warehouses.
3-layer margin calculation
Margin is computed at the quotation, sales-order, and shipment level—comparing quoted costs against actual delivery costs.
