After launching e-bikes in 13 hotels across Italy, the team identified several challenges over the following two months:
Product Scale-Up
ALOE needed to replace external SaaS with in-house rental management software as the team scaled.
The team lacked experience in product development, requiring the acquisition of product strategy and user experience expertise.
Streamlining Workflow
ALOE used over 10 software tools to operate the e-bike service, incurring high costs (€1,200/month).
Poor tool integration led to frequent manual errors, emphasizing the need for a more streamlined workflow.
To address these challenges, I joined the ALOE team in October 2023 with two primary responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Experience
Led the product strategy and user experience for the rental management SaaS, based on field research in partner hotels and surrounding areas to enhance ALOE’s service.
Built the rental management SaaS from scratch, resulting in over 3,000 transactions within just 3 months of launch.
Expanded the SaaS beyond hotels, selling it to other rental clients such as scooter shops and tourism villas.
Internal Workflow Streamlining
Streamlined ALOE's workflow through no-code automation and data visualization.
Developed internal apps via Airtable for sales, operations, PM, and R&D teams.
Reduced unnecessary software subscriptions and empowered colleagues with 30+ automation.
These initiatives significantly improved service efficiency opened new business avenues and contributed to ALOE’s growth.
