The original job board had been inactive for months due to:
Manual overload: Each job had to be manually removed after expiry, posted to Slack, and updated by the team.
No ownership: Without automation or self-service, maintaining the board required constant admin attention.
Lack branding alignments: The previous interface didn’t reflect the community’s identity or professionalism.
I redesigned and automated the job board around three key improvements:
Automation-first backend: Built on Airtable with workflows that send confirmation email, auto-hide outdated posts, sync new ones to Slack, and send reminders—all with no manual steps.
AI-enhanced experience: A custom AI summarizer extracts key highlights from PDFs and job URLs, giving candidates a quick, digestible overview directly on the board.
Self-service tools: Posters can update their jobs via custom edit links, and admins approve new listings in one click from Slack.
Brand-aligned frontend: Migrated the interface to Softr and Fillout for a polished, on-brand experience that feels native to BabyVC.
